Custom Carton Box Enquiry Guide
Use this checklist for a custom RSC carton, die-cut box or partition box in Singapore. It explains the measurements, board, printing and quantity details we need before quoting.
Quotation checklist
Five Details to Prepare
These details determine whether the box can be made, which production method is suitable and how accurately it can be priced.
A custom made carton box is built to your exact size and specification, rather than picked off a shelf. Most custom boxes are used to pack finished goods for storage, shipping or retail. It can be as simple as a plain RSC carton with a partition inside, or a shaped die-cut box with your logo printed on it. This guide walks you through each detail we need, so your quotation is fast and accurate.
Start with the item you need to pack. Its size, weight and fragility decide the box style and board strength.
Before You Enquire
Have these basics ready so we can identify you and follow up quickly: your name, company name and a contact number. Then work through the five points below.
1. Choose Your Box Style
Tell us which style suits your product. If you are not sure, describe the item and send a photo, and we will advise.
RSC Carton Box
- The standard slotted box, made from one piece of board with flaps that meet in the centre.
- Best for regular, rectangular items and general packing. Lowest cost and quickest to make.
- Give the inner size as (L x W x H) in millimetres. Send a sample if you have one.
An RSC carton is the plain, everyday box. Ideal when your item is a simple rectangular shape.
Die-Cut Box
- Cut to a custom shape with a steel die, for a snug fit, hand holes, windows or tab-lock assembly.
- Best for retail presentation, odd shapes and premium unboxing. Needs a one time die (cutting mould).
- Provide a schematic diagram with measurements, or a physical sample. Please note we do not provide design.
A die-cut box is shaped to your product. A sketch or sample lets us build the cutting die correctly.
Partition Box
- A box fitted with internal dividers that separate and protect multiple items, such as bottles or jars.
- Tell us the size of each cell (the in-between space) in millimetres, and the partition thickness (for example 125gsm).
- Send a sample of the partition layout if you have one.
Partitions keep several items apart inside one box. Measure the space each item needs.
2. Give Us the Inner Size
Measure the inside of the box, not the outside, and always in the order Length x Width x Height, in millimetres. Length is the longer opening side, width is the shorter opening side, and height is the depth from base to opening. The board thickness is added on top of your inner size, so an inner measurement makes sure your product fits.
3. Choose the Board Strength
- Wall type: single wall for light goods, double wall for heavier or stacked loads, triple wall for very heavy or bulky items.
- Board weight: specify the paper weight, for example 125gsm, 175gsm or 250gsm. Heavier paper gives a stronger box.
- If you are not sure, tell us the weight of the packed item and how high the boxes will be stacked, and we will recommend a suitable board.
More flutes and heavier paper mean a stronger box. Match the board to the weight it must carry.
4. Tell Us About Printing
- Plain brown board is the cheapest option and needs no printing.
- For branding, choose one colour, two colour or full colour printing. A one time printing mould charge applies.
- Supply your artwork or a clear sample. We print what you provide, as we do not create designs.
Printing adds your brand to the box. Send your logo or artwork so we can quote the mould and print.
5. Confirm the Quantity
- Give the quantity you plan to order. Pricing depends heavily on quantity, so an accurate figure matters.
- Order the full quantity in one go. Splitting a large order into smaller batches later changes the price.
- The minimum order quantity depends on the box size. We do not customise any quantity below 50 pieces.
Custom boxes are priced by quantity. A firm figure gives you the most accurate price.
Delivery Details
When your order is confirmed, a few delivery details help us plan and price the trip.
- Delivery date: tell us your required date. Our usual production and delivery time is 4 to 9 working days after confirmation.
- Delivery address: give the full address and say whether there is a proper loading bay for a pallet truck.
- Access: CBD areas, schools, army camps and restricted zones may carry higher charges, so let us know in advance.
A proper loading bay makes delivery smooth. Flag any access limits so there are no surprises.

Common questions
Custom Carton Box FAQs
What information do you need to quote a custom carton box?
To quote accurately we need the box style (RSC, die-cut or partition), the inner size as Length x Width x Height in millimetres, the board strength (single, double or triple wall), whether you need printing, and the quantity. A physical sample or a simple sketch helps a lot.
What is the minimum order quantity for a custom carton box?
The minimum order quantity depends on the size of the box, and we do not customise any quantity below 50 pieces. Smaller boxes usually have a higher minimum than larger ones, and we will confirm the exact figure when we reply to your enquiry.
Should I measure the inside or the outside of the box?
Always give the inner measurement, because that is the space your product sits in. Measure in the order Length x Width x Height, in millimetres. The board thickness is added on top of your inner size, so measuring the inside makes sure your product fits.
Can you print my logo or design on the boxes?
Yes. We print in one colour, two colour or full colour. Printing needs a printing mould, so a one time mould charge applies on top of the box price. We do not create designs, so please supply your artwork or a clear sample of what you need.
How long does a custom carton box order take?
Once the order and any artwork are confirmed, our usual production and delivery time is 4 to 9 working days. Larger quantities or full colour printing may take longer, and we will confirm the timeline when we reply to your enquiry.
Should I order a standard box or request a custom box?
Choose a ready-stock box when one of our listed sizes fits and you need fewer than 50 pieces or a faster, simpler purchase. Request a custom box when size, structure, partitions or printing must be made to your specification.
