Stretch Wrap vs Bundle Wrap

Pallet wrapping basics

Build Stability Before You Wrap

  1. Stack: keep cartons stable and within the pallet footprint, with heavier boxes at the bottom.
  2. Anchor: begin at the base so the load is connected to the pallet rather than wrapping cartons alone.
  3. Overlap: work upward with consistent overlapping passes, reinforcing the bottom and top sections.
  4. Inspect: check for movement, torn film and sharp corners; add edge protection or other restraint when the load requires it.

Stretch film helps unitise a suitable load but is not automatically sufficient load restraint for every pallet, weight or transport method.

Furniture moving

Hold Protective Coverings in Place

Cover delicate or polished surfaces with moving blankets, clean paper or another suitable barrier first. Stretch film can then help keep coverings, drawers and doors together during handling.

Stretch, not shrink

No Heat Gun Needed

Stretch film tightens through elastic tension as it is pulled around the load. Shrink film is a different material that contracts when heated; do not apply heat to these stretch-wrap products.

Common questions

Stretch Film FAQs

What is stretch film used for?

Stretch film is wrapped under tension around compatible items or stable pallet loads to hold them together and reduce movement. It is also used over protective coverings during moving to keep drawers, doors and blankets in place.

What is the difference between stretch wrap and bundle wrap?

SW-15 is a 50cm-wide, 2kg roll for pallets, furniture coverings and larger loads. SW-10 is a narrow 10cm, 300g bundle wrap for grouping smaller boxes, rods, cables and loose parts.

Is stretch wrap the same as shrink wrap?

No. Stretch film is applied by pulling it around a load so its elastic recovery creates tension. Shrink film is applied loosely and tightened with controlled heat. Our products are stretch films and do not require heat.

Can I wrap stretch film directly onto furniture?

Use moving blankets, clean paper or another suitable protective layer against delicate, polished or easily marked surfaces, then use stretch film to hold that covering in place. Avoid trapping moisture during long storage.

Is stretch film enough to secure every pallet load?

No single wrapping method suits every load. Start with a stable stack, anchor the film at the base, overlap layers consistently and follow the transport provider’s load-restraint requirements. Heavy or irregular loads may need edge protection or strapping.

What delivery and collection options are available?
